Writing things down

Basically what I'm doing in a neighborhood of this single moment in time. Kind of vague, but it's not like I live on this page.

5 Good Things A Day

It's hard to do everything everyday, but trying is enough.

Music

I finished that synth course and I feel like I really improved! Still need to practice more though. But I can safely tweak presets now!
Lately, writing drums has become pretty fun! I kind of want to learn how to play them now... my hubris keeps growing.
Writing some tentative lyrics lately. I've got like 4 partially written songs but I still don't have the energy to commit to any of them...

Reading

📖 Delitto a Tokyo (Keigo Higashino)

The author died recently and I thought I had this on my list but it was actually another book with a very similar title in the Italian translation: "Intrigo a Tokyo" by Hotate Shinkawa. These two books, namely "Crime in Tokyo" and "Intrigue in Tokyo", are originally named "Hakuchō to Kōmori" ("The Swan and the Bat", but titled "Guilt" in the USA) and "My Ex-Boyfriend’s Last Will and Testament". What's wrong with the editorial department??
In any case, I'm reading the former now. THIS TIME I'm taking notes on the characters!!!!

Gaming

🎮 Kingdom Hearts (PS2)

Replay, this time in German! I'm awfully slow but I'm trying to play at least 20 minutes a day, noting down new words I don't know. Attempting this at a A1 level might be a bit too much, but worst case scenario I'm replaying a game I know by heart while learning... very little I guess. My German is very shaky but it's not impairing my ability to play; done with Wonderland and reached the Coliseum.

🎮 Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra (PS2)

The lag in cutscenes loading the game from a 1.0 USB is bearable, so far! I'm done with the Prologue and man this game is smoooth. Mourning the simplification of the battle system (cowards) but thankfully the boosts are still there. Miyuki I care you

🎮 Rhythm Paradise Groove (Nintendo Switch)

Birthday gift from my friends! I love this game series to bits, even though I skipped both Fever and Megamix... I'm playing 5 minigames per day and it's really helping my mood. Reached the credits, but there's still a lot of game to play!
I thought the series got easier, but the post-credits minigames are as "challenging" as I remember. Good.

🎮 Boku no Natsuyasumi 2: Umi no Bouken Hen (PlayStation 2)

Last year, a friend suggested to play this day by day, as a group. She did, but she ended up doing so on her own. This year I wanted to do give it a shot, so I can also tell her about it! So it's going to take the whole month.
I've done the radio taisou and they suck!

🎮 Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PlayStation Vita)

The friend I played the first one with is going on the second one, and it was just too nice to share the experience that I'm doing the same. Turns out I actually like shooting stuff from a distance when I can aim in peace in first person.
I think I'm past halfway through Raiden's side! So far I'm liking it a whole lot more than the first one, although the pacing of its predecessor was much tighter. Got Emma, let's get her to do her thing!

Cooking

I really know very few summer dishes, I realized. I should learn how to cook gazpacho.
